The Pros and Cons of Wedding Planners
This article is for anyone who is preparing for a wedding. If you are the bride, the groom, parents or friends, this article will help you decide if you should hire a wedding planner or not. There are pros and cons to both having a wedding planner and not hiring a professional.
Before I discuss pros and cons I will mention that my wife and I did not hire a professional. My wife’s family is fantastic at wedding planning. They have planned 10 weddings and have 1 to go. If you do not hire a professional, I recommend that you know people who have planned a wedding before. If you do not know anyone who has planned a wedding and can’t afford a wedding planner I suggest you give yourself several months to plan.
The Pros of hiring a professional
Planning a wedding is very stressful. There are so many things to think about. Planning on your own can seem impossible. Professionals do this for a living. They will make planning seem easier than riding a bike. They will make planning fun and exciting.
You can choose a wedding venue, wedding planner and caterer for a package price. Most Salt Lake Wedding Reception Venues have wedding planners included in their total price. These packages can include everything including your wedding cake. This makes planning your wedding as easy as 1 2 3.
Your wedding planner will solve any problems. When problems arise as you plan your wedding, stress gets stronger and stronger. I promise you that there will be all sorts of problems. From reserving linens to getting the perfect DJ, you will run into hurdles.
The Cons of hiring a professional
The number one biggest con of hiring a wedding planner is money. These experts make your life easier but you will have to pay top dollar. My wife and I planned a 10 to 15 thousand dollar wedding for less than 2 grand. This was a result of us doing the work as a family. If you do not have the money to hire a professional, you can plan a fantastic wedding on your own.
Your wedding experience is something you will remember forever. If you are ambitious and creative you will enjoy planning your wedding on your own. Some brides want to plan their wedding for the experience.
If you hire a wedding planner it is harder to bring your own style into the wedding. Professionals let you choose everything you want but it is still not your own. My wife and family made all of the decorations and centerpieces by hand. The wedding was fun, unique and beautiful.
I hope these tips have helped you. I am all for wedding planners if you have the money. They are very talented and will save you a lot of stress. I am also for doing everything on your own if you have the help. Whatever you choose, your wedding will be unforgettable.
